8 June 2008 Shooting of a new planetarium show in the Main Control Room of ESOC, ESA’s European Space Operations Centre and the real-life centre of drama for more than 50 European satellite launches, has begun. The shooting at ESOC, in Darmstadt, Germany, features Rainer Jordan and David Allers, two actors from the city theatres’ ensemble in Kiel, Germany, and digital video production will employ a new recording format never before used for a planetarium dome show. The show is being produced by the University of Kiel on behalf of the European Space Agency.
