Our team

  • Isabella Buczek: Planetarium show professional Isabella Buczek led the team during the 14-month production period. She has an extensive background in applied arts and digital design and previously produced shows in Hamburg and Melbourne, Australia, before joining this project.
  • Bob Weber: Bob is one of the key designers and the lead 3D artist of the show. He has an MA in multimedia production and is a lecturer at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences. Together with Isabella, Joachim Perschbacher, Martin Kossmann and other compositing artists, Bob helped devise and define the show’s unique use of imagination to create a virtual voyage into the universe.
  • Jens Fischer: The show’s music composer. Jens’ thrilling instrumentals are triggered by a subtle understanding of composition and are based on decades of experience in producing music for TV and cinema movies.
  • Tom Kwasnitschka: With Tom’s expert help, Touching the Edge has made use, for the first time, of ‘Full Dome’ camera technology; Tom combined a fish-eye lens with a Red-1 camera to create a unique shooting environment.
  • Torben Müller: Our cameraman, who worked closely with Tom and film director Wilfried Hauke to develop the show’s stunning visual results.
  • Bastian Barton: A versatile expert, Bastian solved one of the show’s trickiest problems - how to convert the Full Dome show into an independent, vibrant classic version for all traditional planetariums.
  • Frank Wolff: As scriptwriter, Frank developed a universe of pithy dialogue used by characters spanning 400 years of science and culture. As a school teacher, he knows well how to balance information with entertainment for science fans of all ages.
  • Kerstin Hauer: Our team production assistant, who kept the entire team on schedule and in sync.
  • Markus Schack: Solved the inevitable tech problems.
  • Knut Holst: Our expert for patient work, keying the green-screen camera shots.
  • Eduard Thomas: With his long-time experience in planetarium programmes and the instinctive understanding of the potential of this grand experiment, Eduard serves as the show’s producer in addition to his full-time duties as director of the Mediendom, Kiel.

… and many thanks to the almost one hundred other supporters who have contributed to the show and helped our team in more ways than we can count!
